If you really wanted to make a point you would write it out instead of making some quick comment trying to be funny.

that being said, i'm obviously a loser in the games I play.

I thought I made the point very succinctly in my first post!

Turtles...I know exactly what I'm talking about, and please don't make it seem like I don't. Yes, everyone acknowledges that staking is a risky endeavor. That said, it can also be profitable. Your current backer is very lucky that you hit it big, whereas your original backer is unlucky that he got you when you decided to be a scumbag. Your current backer would have done the same crap if you pulled that sh*t on him. I guarantee that anyone who backs people would have canceled the stake had the agreement been broken the way you broke it.

The least you could do is pay back the losses for doing what you weren't supposed to do (anything you lost over your stoploss).

A very good example of what action should be taken

ive done two cash game stakes.

both times i gave dudes 5k, started them at .5/1, told them they could take a 5bi shot at 1/2 once they got to 6k, dropping back to .5/1 if they hit 100.

first guy made me $18k

second guy lost $5k.

guess which guy broke our 'contract'

im still cool with the guy, it's just a ****ty thing that happens. he felt bad and gave me back 1k, since he broke the agreement. i didn't say if he busted he had to pay me 5k, but i also didn't anticipate him jumping to 3/6 and bustoing +/- 6k in a day.

o yea, this also happened while i was in africa (which was prob the major mistake i made, leaving the country while he had the stake $, shoulda taken like 75% of it back and just talked to him bout it if he busto'd once i got home)...so it was like an early wedding gift as i found out like < 12 hours before i got married, lolz (i got married in africa for those of you that dont know and otherwise would not get this story)

sure.

how do you feel bout being on the stake for 6 months or so and making me 20k?

if you're down, i'm down.

i should also mention, i started the stake doing 50/50, but once he got to an amount where he could cash out on his own and play .5/1 and 1/2 with a comfy roll, i countered to give him 60% and let him continue on at 2/4 and 3/6 (5-10 if he wanted)...i think that worked out for both of us.

Your previous stakes were 6 months?

one lasted that long, at the time he was working a real job and couldn't play a ton of hands all the time. he quit his job shortly after the stake was finished tho...

i was kinda saying 6m tongue in cheek, who knows how long it would be...but i wouldn't be staking someone 5k to just make 5k, i'd wanna make at least 10-15k on it, etc.

I was the one who staked ii like turtles, and although he might not have "scammed me", he certainly screwed me and violated pretty much all the rules I set forth, even though he had some solid references. I do not think it is all unwarranted to ask for 500 dollars compensation even though he lost way more than that over his stop loss. whatever, talking about it just tilts me.

how much did he lose
*******HU CASH Regs thread******* Quote

The first night he lost 1500, his stop loss was 400.

Then i sent him 400 on two occasions (800) to play 50nl, he ran it up to like 1.5k and then lost it all one night.

o ya, he never sent back the rakebacK(which is what he was supposed to do if he was in makeup) after he lost the second 1.5k.

total - 3k

JG why are you even getting involved with someone else buisness, as ive already mentioned there is a fine line between someone being a "scammer" and making "mistakes" which hopefully ii like turtles has learnt from.

if he was going to scam someone he wouldnt have done it in this fashion, outright calling a scammer when you only had your own problems (which idk about) hence the reason im not going to comment on it, is pretty dumb.

this is from a neutrals point of view, fwiw i dont know ii like turtles or matt and have never spoke to either of them

Ryan: This is true, in my initial posts on the subject (about a month ago) I was angry and thought it possible that he chip dumped my money etc, which is possible but I dont think is the case, so at one point i did think he was a scammer.
