I agree with this but I think once these dbags have 5+ tables open at 1 limit bitching at them is a must.

Just had a huge donator at my table...calling preflop shoves with J2, k4, etc....

He beat my AA AJ QQ 3 in a row to switch the figures so i now had $100 and he had $700 =(. Then he laughed at me and left. I hate him.

i would like to just take a time out here to point out that yes, one group of people complaining that another group of people are stupid because that group of people is forcing themselves to "only" make a couple/few hundred dollars an hour is pretty ridiculous.

You can look back at my previous post for my feelings on statements like this.

I know you probably play poker so you can IM your online poker buddies and tell how badly you omg pwned that donk!, but I play to pay the bills. I'll sit around and wait for a bunch of monkeys to break free from a zoo and accidently open poker accounts if that's what I feel will make me the most money.

In conclusion, learn to type.

EDIT: I should add that the monkeys had to have accidently escaped the zoo, because monkeys that are smart enough to plan their own escape probably wouldn't qualify as the type of brainless primate that I prefer.

brag: played some 5-10nl/ 5-10nl with a mandatory $20 straddle at foxwoods this week. Wow, just wow, majority of live players = really really bad. I saw plays that people learned to stop making at .25/.5. It s so funny, whenever someone brings up playing online, they re like, well I always lose $ on there, must be rigged or something. I think I' m running at around 30ptBB/100 right now. good god.

beat = hourly $ still sucks

Alrighty...

I've been thinking of saying something about this for a while. While I think it's totally purposeless, I might as well just throw it out there for whatever it's worth. Keep in mind that this comes from somebody who is currently playing NL200 with a bit of 400 mixed in, who practices somewhere between little and no game selection at the 200 level and some but fairly minimal game selection at the 400 level.

Poker, especially HU poker, is an extremely egotistical game. You're fairly literally locked into single combat with someone, and although luck is obviously an enormous short term component, it's difficult to not attribute victory or defeat to your individual skill. This, combined with the anonimity that the internet gets you, generally leads to a lot of epenis waving. Those who play all comers are all manly, while those who practice a ton of game selection are bottom feeders who should be put out of their misery. It's sort of your classic "who would win in a fight?" taken to another level by involving large quantities of money.

But here's the catch. It really doesn't matter who would win in a fight. In fact, it doesn't even matter what your precious ptbb/100 is. It's all about the hourly. Poker is a game that is measured only by who has the most money; the winners stay afloat while the losers bust their rolls and exit the game. If bumhunting gets you the most money, bumhunt. If playing only regs gets you the most money for some reason, play regs. That's really all there is too it and anything else just confounds the ultimate point. People hate on those who sit out against x reg, but even if the player in question thinks that he has an edge against x reg, if it's less than what he could get from someone else it's in his best interest to sit out. And while x reg proceeds to bust his roll by playing too high, content in his "redic poker skillz", the "bumhunter" who sat out is continuing to own souls and make monies. That's the bottom line here.

it's hilarious when two regs play and one guy gets pissed if he loses and takes it personally. good god i love that. esp., when they have to say like 15x "you run sooo good", or "sick cooler" over and over agian, like I'm not aware of winning flips, or running top pair into a set in 3bet pot. I don't think I'm 3x the player you are, so don't feel neccesary to point out the obvious.

it's pretty standard that these types of regs are also the ones who instantly challenge you to like 4x the stakes when they lose a buy-in. never fails to amaze me.
