micro would be super ******ed to go zoom only. it will drive away so much of the reg action to other sites (quite a lot of ppl prefer the micro software bc it's the fastest). and at least at hsnl that generates them way more rake than the fishes

idk if zoom only is the solution. however, the current status quo looks terrible to fish and the idea of getting eighth or a quarter of the action of the one or two big fish at a given stake is sort of appealing.

yeah but if the current situation is terrible the solution is to reduce the table cap, not to get rid of it all together

I've never understood why the best players at a stake would want to battle it out for any amount of time paying such high rake. Notice that whenever a HU4Rollz happens here (very rarely), it gets moved to 2nl or play money and actual amounts sorted out later. And is in matches where both think they have an edge!

It would be great for the sites generating more rake from reg matches, but I really can't see it happening. When regs realise that a lot of matches, especially 200 and lower are likely to end in a very small win rate either way, and both players lining the sites pockets.

I say this being someone who seeks out action from bad regs every day I play, I just don't want to play the top regs constantly just to get tables.

Ofcourse if rake was lowered it could be workable and would def be fun to play top regs and actually have an incentive to do so. But this whole thing is about generating more rake for the sites, so that isn't going to happen!

rake is very cheap compared to 6max.

I bum hunt for the sole purpose of I'm scared, not because of rake

(posting here BC I used to post A LOT in this forum)

I'm obv not using my account bc the situation is kinda gross.

A Very close friend of mine backed me for a high stakes private game after I had consistently won In another lower stakes private game for a few months ( I started playing 10/20/40 after and I ended up losing around 20k)

I decided to quit bc I was getting burned out of the stress that playing for money I did not have caused me and he said It was ok that I shouldn't worry about the money.

I took a month off to chill bc I didn't know if I wanted to keep playing.

After that I found that I had some money left in a online poker site I started grinding and after a few weeks I've made like 5k playing nl 50 , 100 and now 1/2.

He texts me one day that He has found out I was playing and he wants to know If i'm playin for him or by myself.

I wanna know how to proceed.

does the make up I left in the live game affects this If I say i'm playing for him?

Would it be terribad if I told him I was playig for me?

Any advice is welcome!

You got backed to play in the high stakes private game. What you do in your own time with your own money is entirely up to you and does not affect the deal you made with him. IMO

Unless you used his money to deposit at the pokersite. Then you obviously owe him.
