Hey guys, so i started playing a couple Cap games recently at the 100/200s - and i have no history whatsoever with the current regs, nor do i have any recent cash history. So when i join other peoples lobbies, i´m basically a total unknown to them (i also dont have a SN that i use across sites) - yet they sit out. It is very confusing to me.

There are hoards of people waiting, and an unknown shows and they sit out without ever playing a hand? Can anybody explain this logic to me please, because it confuses the heck out of me..... What are they waiting for?

they probably have other games. watching a youtube vid, whatever. i stopped sitting it but when i was circumstances would have had to be ideal for me to post. i found myself like never really wanting to play CAP but loaded the table because meh **** it why not, when i was starting session and loading other tables. but yeah ive since stopped loading them, CAP is too miserable

That would make sense if they didn't just insta sit in when you leave the table and insta sit out when you sit again.

did u just stop reading the rest of my post?

so given your post, youre a complete unknown, wtf else could possibly explain why they would sit out? im saying most ppl sitting CAP view it as the nut low action and are probably very unwilling to deviate from whatever else might have their attention to play it.

let me paint the picture. a reg has a plethora of tables open including CAP because its v easy to grab both a normal table and CAP table when going thru the process of loading tables. this reg is reading a thread on 2p2 while a CAP player appears. he has more interest in the thread atm than playing CAP so he sits out. the player leaves and he then clicks sit in to prevent the table from closing or having to remember to reopen it and what stake it was etc., because there might be a time in the future, even though CAP is terrible, where hes just bored enough to play someone at it if they sit him.

Also I'd imagine the edges between two competent players in CAP is smaller + you rake more because there is a lot of limping involved.

TooCuriousso - if people complain in the future about HU Cash traffic being bad, i´ll sent them to your post.

I´m curious if this is a view shared by others, that watching a video or reading a thread is worth more than giving action.

I´m not entirley sure if being picky in todays poker ecology is the must lucrative way to go. And in regards to CAP being such an awful game - who cares - its about money right? And there are quite a few people in similar formats that rake in the cash in these games. Hypers started out as an awful format initally, but they evolved quite well with certain changes in structure (and of course by traffic they generated) - yet if you have like a couple CAP games running why should PS e.g. ever bother changing anything to the structure or making it a bit more attractive - as it basically is a non-relevant segment.

i'd like to think i was a decent HUNL player, and i've sat cap before... and had no idea limping was part of an effective start. prolly just as well i could never be bothered playing ore than 50 hands of cap

Pretty funny but I have a good feeling like it was faked. Don't think a company would be allowed to put a random person at danger like that.

Yeah maybe a setup old guy seems to believe the setup very quickly and says "can we do it again" a bit sooner than I would expect given he would be in mild shock after than experience
