what? in terms of power?

everything is so tedious in C, in java you have nice things like objects and generic values and debuggers that show you a nice picture of structures

i'm not sure if you're leveling or not, but the point of my post was that I would never play you but if I did and you 3-bet 75% as a standard (basically 0% chance of this), I wouldn't say you were good either. However, i'll just assume you're really sick and not play you, like the time i sat out vs. dogishead without playing a hand either.

So what you're basically saying is that I'm so uber-geek it's scary?

I'm a video game programmer, have a PGL (professional gamer's league, very short-lived organization) mousepad consolation prize from when I played Starcraft and made it to the final 128 (A nice hard one that was awesome when mice actually had rolling parts in them), and have taken second place in a MTG tournament before?

want a lot of UB

have a lot of FTP

5k min increments, have a ton of references, will only send first if extremely reputable. Will not xfer with unknowns unless lots of refs.

I was just kidding. Most of the stuff I did involved being at the machine/OS level so C was basically my staple through college, with a liberal sprinkling of C++. I'm pretty lost with GUI programming =\ mostly because I never took the time to learn and have never done anything with my degree.

when you go to task manager and close processes that use like 250000k of memory usage (is vulscan a normal process) does it actually help a ton? Can laptop monitors be repaired?

You need a ram defrag prog.

Free RAM XP works good for me.

You might need to add more RAM or defrag every once in a while.

thanks i just got it. do you use defrag to speed up the comp? what's most essential? the great irony here is that my computer has gotten so bad that running tuneup utilities is lagging my computer like crazy. oh, is defrag supposed to take 4 hours? what's it do exactly?

I would run their tuneup 1-click maintenance program and go from there. It sounds like your PC is in a really bad shape so you might want to do nothing at the same time (even internet browsers/IM softwares use a significant amount of RAM). The defragmentation time depends on the size of your HD but can be quite long indeed. Just launch it and go out for a few hours or something.

Also a quick relief that has worked well for me in the past is making sure you don't have a bunch of useless **** starting up with your computer. If you click Start-->Run and type in "msconfig" then clcik on the Startup tab you will probably see a ton of programs that are selected as starting up with your PC that don't need to and just take up extra memory. I usually uncheck them all except for stuff that says Microsoft and even then some.

im not sure about this but doesnt fullflush do what ivey does and just sit out any time he's down a couple buyins? i think this is a vastly underrated skill in and of itself that probably saves people 10s of buyins a year, if not more.

there are people who are willing to take huge shots. there are people who have a tough, aggressive hu game that wouldnt get immediately destroyed by the nosebleed players. there are people who are good at quitting. there are people who are good at tilting people. there are very very very few people who have all four characteristics. throw in a decent heater over 20k or 30k hands and fullflush's success becomes understandable.

say he's played 30k hands against these top players. you change one lost flip to a win every 2k hands (which even 4 tabling hu isnt going to happen very often) and you've won another 30 buyins. that's something that wouldnt be glaringly apparent (outside of his opponents whining about how often he wins flips) but it could take someone from break-even to a 5 ptbb winner.

I'm not sure quitting is a skill I'd consider as a major qualitiy when im evaluating whether someone is a top player in the world or not.
