i dont see the difference between adjusting your ranges vs a fish who does too much of something and sitting on 16 empty tables to bumhunt, both ppl are just exploiting the situation given to them. its pretty annoying to look at a lobby full of 1/2 but hu specialists had it very easy for a while. this is just the natural evolution of things and we cant do anything about it until ftp/stars decide its worth addressing.

a lot of the complaining here is just people frustrated knowing that a lot of the $$$ are gone for a heads up player. we won't be able to make that much being a game selecting heads up player anymore. i really like the game and am trying to be less selective, but as it stands i may need to switch away from heads up or poker altogether. i too am frustrated, so it goes.

This whole thread psses me off. At the end of the day, most bum hunters are fish, who only win because they play worse fish. They all say there's not point playing regs because the edge is much smaller and varience goes way up. If you think that than you have no edge and you're losing long run to those regs willing to play other regs.

Most the regs on FT 100 and 200 are so bad that that good players can make more $$$ against them rather than the fish. I mean what's the point stacking 20bb fish when you can 2-4 tbl a 'reg' and very quickly win 5-10 FULL buy-ins. Yes swings are a little bigger but so are the profits.

I don't hate to say it, but does anyone see how truly right I was yet? Heads up is dead in a major way compared to what it once was, and only a few of the moronic bumhunters are starting to realize it and move away from it to 6m.

Basically what happened was as follows:

Heads up players made a lot of money from 2007 to mid 2008. Word got out, results were seen etc etc, and suddenly everyone wanted the same thing. What they didn't realize is it wouldn't be there for them like it existed then because they fail to see that things change. A real world example would be I open a store that sells X and I make a fortune. Everyone finds out who sells Y and decides to try to sell X too. They think they can make what I had made because they see how much I made doing it, but they are too dumb to see the simple logistical problem. The market has pushed the profit out. It's very simple economics. I am glad I made money at HU when I did, and am even more glad I got out when I did, but all this crying in this thread is just so laughable.

And I have bad news for you guys trying to regulate the games so much. Guess what, your efforts are so worthless. The market is simply over-saturated, if everyone sat at one table, games would hardly be any better. I would really start considering careers outside of poker for many of you that aren't looking to improve and beat 6m games. It will only get worse.

Sorry guys, but I was right, and despite how much I know I am hated, you know it's true.

Can someone please explain to me what's so wrong with bumhunting? I obv. understand what's wrong with grimming people....

But the way I see it, I play poker to make MONEY. This isn't craps, if I don't see a perceived edge why would I continue gambling? Maybe I'm missing something, but how can you honestly sit there and bash someone for not wanting to gamble money without the best of it?

Or is all the hate because the lobby is cluttered up with 12 tables for each reg and none of them have games going.

If so, rather than complain about these guys, ask FTP to implement a feature where u can hide tables that certain people are sitting at, etc.

This IMO.

Nothing wrong with bumhunting.

Most people call that "table selection", and it's something that pretty much every training video on every site you'll ever watch recommends.

all the hate in this thread is based on frustration for a lack of acceptance/realization to the below.

man, jeff you are annoying even if you are right. that being said, i am getting my a** back to NL heads up for however long it takes to get back what i lost to the devil--PLO. heads up plo is like crack cocaine, you get addicted and it ruins your life.
my worry is that it could take me 6 months to get it back at heads up nl with how the action is. goddamn it.
