I have a bunch of dope verses, yeah im serious. I'm pretty tilted/pissed right now so maybe we can still do the battle but right now I'm just upset. Poker sucks so bad when it ****s you in the ass for like 50BI EV over the last 30k hands and to top that off getting coolered left and right is really fun too.

I tend to quit people a lot these days (gameselection ftw), and a huge amount of the time I'm actually down to the person (the goal is to spot them early before you get the whining and the forum posts). It baffles the **** out of me how high of a percentage of people track me down on other tables. I understand if I'm up on them, but when I just gave them 2-3 BIs, wtf do they think I'm doing? That I accidently spazz-quit and they are doing me the awesome favor of seeking me out to play more?!?!

EDIT: It sucks triply bad on stars because I just leave the table when they do this and open up another one. If you're stuck with a ratholed table you can be locked out from opening a fresh table forever.

ding, this whole concept of you can't quit me unless i say so or ill whine on the forums is laughable.

its like 12 year old ego warrior mentality.

play when you want, leave when you want. i get hit n ran 5x a day at minimum. who cares thats a risk you take playing a cashgame.

there are general rules of etiquette i will always follow because thats just who i am. but sure won't find me crying on the forums after i lose a few buyins because those rules were not reciprocated back to me as well...

I try to write it everywhere I can that I'm not playing anyone with a pulse for the time being. I feel I've done my time trying to be a world beater... so if you sit me and you're decent, there's a good chance I'm going to leave pretty quickly regardless of whether or not I'm up or down.

If I'm up on another reg I won't follow him, but I am ****ing tired of regs leaving after winning 100$ or w/e (10bbs is pretty std) then insta-sitting out. When this happens I'll seat all his tables for the next 20 mins or so and search whenever Im online the next few days.

Today I havent gotten more than 50 hands from any reg after trying for 2 hours at 3/6. 5/10 is even worse and at 5/10 I wont play the best, so it kind of sucks.

The ''I wont play anyone but fish''-mentality is 10x more pathetic.

Only 5?!?!?!

As far as etiquette, I try to figure out if someone's beyond my "****** threshhold" as fast as possible so as little money exchanges hands before I leave. It's good for all parties imo.

I also don't use PTR while sitting at the tables so it usually takes a bare minimum of 5-10 hands.

Hopefully you're not talking about people who sit you? If you sit someone, they can leave whenever they want whether it's 10bbs or 04871203p81203912093812903830192-380192381bbs.

As far as your last comment, you can call it pathetic all you like, but your hourly winrate at the tables is the only thing that matters. Actually, scratch that, what's best for you and those closest to you are the only thing that matters.

I've played players of extremely high caliber, I don't have to explain to anyone why I want to bumhunt. Honestly, I just don't give a **** anymore to engage in the debate.

EDIT: A genuine life tip is to learn how to spend your time and energy on things you can control instead of getting worked up over the things you can't.

I seriously don't understand this attitude. Refusing regs action is fine for a while if you are short on cash/in a downswing, but to do it permanently... Do you not want to improve? Not wish to test yourself against other who dedicate themselves to the game?

Fish action only comes so often at higher stakes (I have no clue how high you play), and I can pretty much guarantee you won't make playing poker worthwhile if you only play fish, unless you're happy with 50k/yr or something.

kjemmy, I've played a whois-who list of extremely high-caliber HU players. To be frank, I'm not sure that anyone who posts with regularity in this forum can say the same.

You go ahead and do what you think is right/best for you, and I'll do the same. Getting worked up about what I'm doing is time you could better spend working on your own situation.

And like the rest of us, you probably learned the hard way.

You're gonna spend tens, if not hundreds of thousands, to find out if you're a world-beater. Save yourself the trouble and play the odds that say "you're not".

I can pretty much guarantee that you are wrong.

If someone can make 4k per month playing 100nl or 20k a month bumhunting then why wouldn't they?

On what stakes? I sit on as many tables as possible up to 10/20 for fish action, I wont average on close to 20k a month if I exclusively bumhunt. You just don't get that much action on the higher stakes, and I kind of doubt you'll make 20k a month from 2/4 bumhunting.

The majority of my winnings comes from regs, and that is also true for all the other high-stakes regs (who makes alot) I know.
