Looks like no Reid bill this year - ESPN blog.

Now that its not happening I'm somewhat happy. I think I'm going to give poker 1 more year and then head back to the Rat Race again as USA ipoker crumbles.

there are a lot of good things about the bill but the 15 month blackout period would have been unbearable.

why u think itll change so much in a year? hasnt really in the last 3 or 4. I'm confident in FTP and stars ability to stay a couple steps ahead of the DOJ.

I think it absolutely has changed in the last 3 years. I have noticed a difference in the last 6 months alone. I've been trying to get a bank wire from FTP for over a month now. Deposit wise, I tried to deposit on Bodog and got a call instantly from my bank for unauthorized charges.

Also, with the Republicans taking control many suspect a harder push at payment processors. Additionally there is the possibility the department of justice could indict PS or FTP. Eventually it won't be profitable for them to stay. Not to mention a super uigea seems more likely in the next few years then any type of regulation that will be good for us. I hope/wish things stay just as they are forever, but I really don't see it happening.

It's funny that the bill that was trying to pass before that everyone wanted to pass, but failed, also had a 15 month blackout period, only nobody mentioned it for some reason.

Yeah i guess I didnt mean too say I think itll last forever either, just have confidence it will stay as it is for longer then a year. I had the same exp with bodog, but I think it's a little worse for them then other sites. I havent really noticed much difference in the last 3 years when it comes to withdrawling though, yeah a bounced check here and there but nothing that has ever lasted very long.

In order to quick start-up/auto-login for example into ptr, u can create script in notepad, replace fields login and password, then make this file in html extension and it works:

<html>
<body onload="go('phpf','phpf_name','phpf_pass')">
<script>
function go(id,name,pass,st) {
document.getElementById(name).value="login";
document.getElementById(pass).value="password";
document.getElementById(id).submit();
}
</script>
<form style="display:none" action="http://www.pokertableratings.com/login.php" method="POST" id="phpf">
<input type="text" name="username" id="phpf_name">
<input type="text" name="password" id="phpf_pass">
</form>

</body>
</html>

Also, if you want for example start-up couple more pages next to your ptr page, you can go to PROPERTIES in SERVICE menu in browser and type in home pages and put ptr auto-login script into it, wherever your html file is located, for example C:\users\username\desktop\filename.html
then type in next home page etc

***
Th only problem I have is to figure out how to make my ActiveX not getting blocked in browser, when trying to run this script, without turning off ActiveX security or lowering its level. It's doable for https:\\ as you can add it into trusted zone, but how to make file on your desktop for example beeing trusted in browser, im not sure.
Any1 knows? Thanks.

update, figured it out:
***
In case your ActiveX is blocking upload of your script go to Properties in Services menu again, click on Other, find and put a mark infront of line: Allow start-up of files from computer.

Enjoy!

tbh i think that's awesome and totally fine. if he sat at his tables it would be gross and scummy (and should've been in the rules obv)

and there is no way fees' bet should be forfeited bc of this afaik. i could see a judge ruling for say a 10% fine or smth, but anything else would be ridic provided what i stated is what is going on
I'm trying to sort out that cluster f*** of a thread, but from what I read, fee's asked (covertly) if it was ok for high stakes regs to compete for the UGL and was told NO within 1.5 hours of asking by the official judge of the prop bet. It seems like a pretty clear violation to me, but I haven't read/understood everything.

Here's where he asked:

Here's his answer from the judge (someone explain the battleship reference to me, it seems important?):
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...&postcount=887

However, fee's seems to think that "Handbaggio's" response is more important then the official judge:

Battleship poker is a set of rules added to a HU match at low stakes that magicninja/cowpig/cts played like 4 months ago... i dont remember the exact rules, but one of them was if you won with a certain hand the other opponent was required to blind shove his next button and you had the option of calling or not.

basically magicninja/cowpig ended up having like 1kbb + stacks on all their tables and cowpig ended up losing like 14k in 2 days

wow, that was important, now I don't know what to think. He did ask the question, but didn't get a direct no. He also didn't get a direct yes. He should have sought out further clarification from someone official. This seems like poor judgement. I don't think his results in the UGL should be counted, but I don't think he should forfeit his bet since he clearly thought it was ok. The fact that he didn't escrow is going to be a train wreck for sure unless silent_one takes it down.

What's fee's screen name on stars? or whatever site he's using to compete for UGL?

"2. Actions must be in accordance with the intent of having a fair prop bet. No actions (chip dumping, collusion, ghosting/coaching players on Silent_0ne's tables, etc) can be taken with the intent to affect the outcome of the prop bet. Violations will result in the violator's action being forfeited and may result in additional modification/extention to neutralize the interference."

Soooo on the fence about this.
On one hand what fee's did doesn't comply with having a fair and genuine contest of 50nl.

But that ^^^ was written in reference to actions of cheating. It basically defines actions as: "(chip dumping, collusion, ghosting/coaching players on Silent_0ne's tables, etc)" and a HS reg grinding 50nl is not really similar or in the same realm with the things mentioned.

I think I agree that it will last longer than a year, I just think things will slowly deteriorate. I believe 2 years from now things will be significantly different for us.

On another note I lost 24 buys ins today at 6max 100plo trying to hit supernova, never playing PLO again

Yeah Im not really sure how what fees tried to do is in violation of the rules. He isn't competing directly and he isnt colluding/dumping...whatever. I guess in the vaguest sense "no actions can be taken to influence the propbet" would exclude that, but when all the examples listed are recognized forms of cheating it makes me think that that's all they were intended to stop.
