I thought the bill would make it illegal to play online poker in the USA (rather tahn just make it illegal for ftp/stars to offer games to US residents) and I still think that even if you do find a way to acces euro sites from with the USA, the government will try their best to stop you/ make your life hell.

So if it was illegal obv you wouldnt be able to declare the earnings that would in the offshore a/c so you wouldnt be paying tax. But it seems that I was wrong and it still wouldnt be technically illegal to play poker online even when the bill comes in (or at least thats what im eing lead to beleive). I still think people will use the offshore a/c as a way to not pay tax though and to avoid all the hassle of having to explain where the money is coming from.

I dont know a ton about it, but as long as your paying a bunch of taxes do they really care where its coming from? Wouldnt it be relatively easy to say you made your money in some other way? Like you said it sounds like it wont be "illegal" for us to play on these sites anyway so this discussion doesnt really matter but im curious now.

I've been toying around with the same type idea. I'm most interested in fairly inexpensive areas with beaches or rock climbing. I'm up for mt biking or snowboarding, dont really have much experience with it, but always willing to try and give it a shot.

Also been considering spanish speaking countries and hiring a tutor to help learn an extra language on the side.

yeah guys keep me posted on this as well, just came back from 2 months with an apartment in Buenos Aires and I love to travel so I know a lot of great locations and I'm decent at finding housing and whatever else

They're making it sound like the chances were waay overstated at first. Here are two tweets/retweets from his page:
