hello,

i pay just alot to my vilians trips (3 of a kind, i know u know )

is it possible to avoid that when i have a good hand like totk over pair or 2 pairs?

here is an example:

Full Tilt - $0.02 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

Hero (BB): $4.25
UTG: $2.00
MP: $2.10
CO: $2.53
BTN: $2.00
SB: $2.00

SB posts SB $0.01, Hero posts BB $0.02

Pre Flop: ($0.03) Hero has K Q

fold, MP raises to $0.08, fold, fold, fold, Hero calls $0.06

Flop: ($0.17, 2 players) 4 Q 8
Hero bets $0.12, MP raises to $0.24, Hero calls $0.12

Turn: ($0.65, 2 players) 7
Hero checks, MP bets $0.20, Hero calls $0.20

River: ($1.05, 2 players) 6
Hero checks, MP bets $0.54, Hero calls $0.54

MP shows 7 7 (Three of a Kind, Sevens) (PreFlop 51%, Flop 10%, Turn 100%)
Hero mucks K Q (One Pair, Queens) (PreFlop 49%, Flop 90%, Turn 0%)
MP wins $1.99

what would do different here and in general?

I play this the same, and be happy with his small bet sizing.

River is close. Probably fold without reads.

Does everyone like the flop lead?

I do the flop lead here, I do change it up depending on the villain but it's kinda my default play. Whenever someone raises a bet at 2nl folding comes to mind, but I don't always do so. You didn't lose too bad, in fact I would give villain credit for keeping you in and extracting appropriate value after you showed weakness, he probably had a decent read on you. So your only clues really are the flop raise and the half pot river bet, which is almost certainly for value, and whether or not you have seen villain exhibit any previous play that looks like it has any skill in it. Then ask whether a player like that value bets you like that with worse than what you have, roughly estimating ranges for what hands he might have (tptk, 2 pair, overpair, set, whatever else). I think this is possible to get away from, but it is close, and I wouldn't feel too bad about it. I don't know if I can get away from this action if I have two pair personally. Sometimes the deck is just cold and you are either at the right or wrong side of it.

EDIT: Whoops I see now that villain made his set on the turn. That kind of changes my perception of the villain and most of what I wrote. Yeah, you probably played this ok and just got unlucky. You can lose hands like this and still beat 2nl imo.
