Hi all,

If I am on the river and my opponent bets pot that means I need 33% Equity to profitably call. I understand that part. but what I am having trouble with is:

If I am on the river and I have 9/8 Suited and I am supposed to call when I have 33% Equity against my opponent's range How can I either remember or calculate that 9/8 Suited would have 33% Equity against their range. I hope my question makes sense.

In other Words I can always go back to equity lab and check afterwards but in game how am I supposed to either remember or know?

You can't

1. Do you beat all their bluffs? If not you should almost always fold

2. Do you beat any of their value bets? If so you should call

If you're trying to be unexploitable you'd fold more to larger sizes, otherwise you can try to guess whether they're bluffing too often and call based on that

In some spots blockers will be very important so that will shift your decision

And if you have money behind definitely consider whether bluff raising is good

I am watching videos on MDF and pot odds and part of those concepts is calculating equities on the river. So there is a disconnect there for me.

You don't. You make your best guess at the time and hope for the best
Those guesses get better when you know and can process things in a longer format off table
