If you’re playing full thing there are a ton of situations to fold AK pre, this being one of them

I think this is a bad fold. Weaker player cold calling means MP will 3 bet aggressively. CO could defo be 4 betting-AQ/AJ/A5s maybe even wider. You put 99-JJ in very tough spot also. Think we need to go with it

If you are looking at situations where it may be correct to fold it, this is one of them. No side pots, no limitations on players behind you that have already shown significant strength.

ya that's true - that guy who 3b was pretty wide, but it's not like i'm in the best spot here. oh well

Good fold, there are definitely a lot of spots where folding AKo is okay - ESPECIALLY in pools where people under 3bet & by extension under 4bet.

Even in 6max, there is a place and time for folding AK - but at that point you'd need to have good reads on villain(s).

Like there's 34BB in the pot. That's a lot of money to just take down. Our ham is likely to get his QQ to fold and villain for sure has 12 combos AK which is half his calling range so I don't see why we could fold here

This.

You have to keep in mind, this is not like a spot where you are considering 4bet or 5 bet jamming after you already put in the initial raise or 3bet yourself. You got cold called, 3bet, and cold 4bet to a very large size for a cold 4bet. The amount of equity when called and fold equity you need needs to be much higher to stack off here, and both if these are going to be so much lower than usual. Unless the cold 4 guy has very loose cold 4 frequency I think jamming KK+ and AKs is probably close to what yout actual range should be, and there's a good chance AKs and KK aren't going to have amazing EV here.

Also, why are we raising to 2.8? I would do 2x UTG, but anything 2x-2.5x seems reasonable. Anything more than 2.5x is usually not very good and a fairly reliable sign that it is a rec.

This is probably a 100% fold in full ring if I had to guess.
