i think maybe this was too tight of a fold maybe in retrospect especially with having position going to the river but at the time i was like in these stakes these guys have a really value combination heavy that easily outranks their bluff combinations so just a fold here , meh thougts ?

UTG: 100 BB
CO: 228.5 BB
Hero (BTN): 237.6 BB
SB: 103.2 BB
BB: 45.1 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has K J

UTG raises to 2 BB, fold, Hero calls 2 BB, fold, BB calls 1 BB

Flop: (6.5 BB, 3 players) T 3 J
BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets 3.2 BB, fold, UTG calls 3.2 BB

Turn: (12.9 BB, 2 players) 3
UTG checks, Hero bets 8.6 BB, UTG raises to 23.6 BB, fold

UTG wins 28.6 BB

I would fold preflop. As played check turn.

Once you bet turn and get check-raised you have to fold unless opponent is a complete maniac. Which is why betting is bad.

I would fold or 3-bet preflop. You get good odds to call yeah, but the minraise followed by your call will lead to multiway action very often, as the blinds get such good odds. And KJo is a bad multiway hand, as getting action with a weak top pair in a multiway pot is a recipe for disaster. Or if the blinds are more aggressive, they often squeeze, forcing you to fold. Of the three preflop options, calling is the worst IMO, despite having position.

Ez call. If he were going to trap flop with a set or op he xr there with the drawy board and bb left to act. Plus the raise is so small and u have pos on a lot of nasty rivers for him which means u realize more of ur share of the pot. Pre is obv fine when u see 45bb fish in bb.
