I like this idea, not something I had considered. Seems preferable to raising the turn. Gets value from AA certainly. It doesn't allow him to bluff missed draws, but it seems somewhat unlikely that villain would bluff this river with a missed draw after I call the flop overbet and continue on the turn. Obviously people at this stake tend to underbluff rivers anyway.
I will just post the results of this hand since it's been a couple days without much response. Villain had KTs. So he flopped top two pair, turned the nuts, and basically won the minimum from trips.
I posted this hand because I really felt like I wanted to fold flop facing the overbet with little prospect of improving. And then the turn sizing confused me, and made me want to raise. Odd hand. Pretty good result for me as played.
