Facing 3Bet and Flat Caller with AK Preflop Facing 3Bet and Flat Caller with AK Preflop

This is a wild hand I played last night. I have a lot of question marks about how I played it at a number of points:

Facing a 3Bet from MP and a caller after, should I have folded, 4bet or called (as I did) with AK.

When K landed on the flop, I check raised. Was that the right move? Should I have check raised more?

On the turn, could I get away from this hand with so much already in the pot? Was there a reason to think either of my opponents had the straight?

On the river, I am second guessing my call here. There was no reason for MP to raise all in without a must stronger hand than my TPTK, since he would still have to win against the CO.

In any event, just a very puzzling hand overall.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Your x/r size on the flop is far too small, what does it achieve? Your hand doesn't need/want to see a turn and a river, it's strong enough to stack off on the flop and the last thing you want is to build a huge pot and have 2 opponents seeing the turn.

Preflop is annoying because you are deep with MP, but I'd still rather 4bet as our hand is very strong but doesn't mind taking it preflop and doesn't like multiway pots. If we 4bet and face an MP all-in is where I puke.

AKo is mandatory 4-Bet imo. There is so much dead money in the pot. I'd 4B to $7 with a small bet flop jam turn with the boards given if you get one caller.

Check Raise flop is correct, but bigger...$9

Interested in peoples Turn, River thoughts. After your turn check and bet/call by villains, I don't see how you're ahead, but you did completely under-rep your hand though. I'm leaning fold turn.

Pre - 4b to 7.50. i know were deep but still it plays better as PFR even when OOP

Flop - theres 11.70ish in pot when action is back to you, i would x/r to $12 here ( ready to stack off) or flat and be capable of folding.

Turn - as played never folding. pot odds are good and he could have pair+ hearts, Pair+sd etc.

River - easy fold. you only beat a bluff and he doesnt have too many bluffs now besides hearts.

Open bigger pre, 4bet we are putting MP in tough spot with fish still left to act.
Flop is fine. I would just bet turn again for 1/3 putting fish all in. AP-Turn is probably just a fold, you need to beat both of them and MP pretty much has 0 bluff. River is easy fold.

I also think we want to narrow the spr postflop AMAP,. It's just easier to play all round from there.

Seems like a good example of how passivity on earlier streets can wreck our EV. We're allowing too much range to continue against us oop and thus tricky to pinpoint where IP is at. One of those situations where the odds look better than they are. Lol @ CO's hand
