Trap on the turn might be a mistake. River cbet isn't worse though is it?

Is this a boat foldable spot?

CO: 100.6 BB
BTN: 100 BB
SB: 219.3 BB
BB: 44.4 BB
Hero (UTG): 106.2 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 9 9

Hero raises to 3 BB, CO calls 3 BB, fold, SB calls 2.5 BB, BB calls 2 BB

Flop: (12 BB, 4 players) J J 9
SB checks, BB checks, Hero checks, CO checks

Turn: (12 BB, 4 players) 3
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets 3.8 BB, CO calls 3.8 BB, SB raises to 15.7 BB, fold, Hero calls 11.9 BB, fold

River: (47.2 BB, 2 players) 3
SB bets 33.8 BB

I would bet flop, being the preflop aggressor, you can bet a wide range, also unlikely CO continues the action on flop and you want value from a J. Checking is okay, but I wouldn't always check this spot and I lean towards small cbet. I think an argument can be made for a turn shove given SB sizing. As played I think river most likely a fold, though depends on the player and whether you think they might still have some busted flush draws they want to bluff.

I get the idea of the flop check multiway but the problem is there's only one player left to act meaning the flop is going to check through the vast majority of the time which is a pretty bad outcome when the SPR is still relatively big and our hand is very strong. I'd like it much better if we were first to act.

Rest of the hand is well played if you folded the river.

yeah I did. I think these super boat runouts are way underbluffed

Can see the case for fastplaying/ betting flop. Lots of GSs/PPs fish love to overplay

On the flop, we are probably supposed to check a lot in theory. But I think we can get away with being super unbalanced and just betting our strongest hands. We want to make absolutely sure that we stack Jx if it is out there, and I think betting flop is the main way to do it without scaring the crap out of someone with a ninja turn or river raise.

I like calling the turn to give CO a chance to make his straight or flush if he is terrible like that.

And ya, the river is an easy fold imo. A protected pot check-raise on the turn is usually pretty terrifying, and everything sucked out on the river.

Bet flop... if you're flopping a boat w/ a pocket pair, that's one of the flops you want to generate a pot with because of the potential for draws. As played, turn looks good since you have position. River is a fold simply because there's probably < 1% chance he doesn't have a J since he XR'd multiway. If he had a draw, most people are overcalling there and not taking the chance someone blows them off their draw because they have Jx.
