I'm pretty sure that the video mentions clicking on the suits on the bottom right in order to appropriately adjust for the flushes. (made or draw)

Ahhh, you're both right. I saw it as "KQs", not "KsQs". My mistake, the vid is right.

Thanks much.

This was talked about briefly earlier in the thread, but a question I am wondering from the video has to do with your 3bet sizing with I believe 79s (sorry if that is incorrect, I watched it this morning but didn't have time to respond). If you 3bet to 30, you go through the math and explain you must call 70 to win 130, which is a fold given your equity. However, if you 3bet to 39, you risk 61 to win 139 which makes the call profitable.

I know that in terms of equity, for poker you can forget how you got to your present situation and simply evaluate the one at hand. But if you foresee his 4bet AI coming, isn't it correct to fold before your own 3bet, because overall this entire play as a whole is -ev? Aren't you also getting into a situation where you are betting bigger with your worse hands (by adjusting to 39 from 30), and smaller with better?

Split I've read a lot of your posts now and just want to say thanks for them all... they collectively have some of the best info i've read about the game.

I really only showed that hand to show the example for which hands had the best equity in the event you are getting 3:1+ outright in a situation. 4-betting to about 1/4 stack, or 25bb, is generally the best sizing in general...so that example in the video was just a "hey, look at this stuff and see how you can respond from a STRICTLY mathematical POV"

and in regards to the bolded part...thank you very much. i take compliments like that to heart =)

When people say 'you're way ahead of his range' is that statement only true over a huge sample size and therefore can't really be applied to specific situations? (no laughing - I'm fairly new to this)

it just means that we think they have a wide range with lots of second best hands. so when we have the nuts, we by default are way ahead of their range. if they are a fish, and we have a strong hand, we are probably way ahead of their range

its based on their range v our hand strength really

If I just keep writing out the calculations over and over again with hands I've had problems with in my database, will I start to get an intuition for this so I can adjust in real time playing?

I stumbled on this video while searching for something else...lucky for me--it's really great. I've used Pokerstove here and there for years, but never in this fashion. A real eye-opener in parts. Thanks Split!

As for the other program, I understand that flopzilla has replaced it. But I'm a bit confused as to how to get it:

1. You can go here: http://www.cardrunners-ev-calculator...illaStart.html

or

You can go here: http://www.cardrunners-ev-calculator.com/Flopzilla.html

2. There are several download buttons on each of the above pages.

3. On each page, it says "$25." But on one of the linked download pages, it says $99.

Can someone tell me what the ___ I should do to get the right program in the least expensive way?

Thanks very much!
