I tried to get trap PF, and everything you see after the flop is me panicking. Comments please!

Villian is 24/12/1.5 over 100 hands

Hero (BB): $40.99
UTG: $29.43
MP: $8.96
CO: $35.42
BTN: $24.65
SB: $6.28

Pre Flop: Hero is BB with K K
1 fold, MP calls $0.25, CO raises to $1, 2 folds, Hero raises to $3.35, 1 fold, CO raises to $8.50, Hero calls $5.15

Flop: ($17.35) 2 A J (2 players)
Hero bets $9, CO calls $9

Turn: ($35.35) 5 (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $17.92 all in, Hero folds

Why trap here? He's shown a lot of strength reraising preflop and most likely calls/shoves your raise, which is exactly what you want. It's better he folds and you gain $8.50 than you checking and this happening.

raising is good but calling like you did is fine too pf. i probably check because it sucks to bet out like you did and then end up folding (investing so much money then folding sucks). if I were to be though i'd bet more than 9 because that looks really weak. make it 12-13

I agree mostly but you could just stick it in pf, very rarely to people 4bet/fold

yeah, i get it in pf every time - 140BBs isn't too deep for stacking off pf with KK imo. Superwhale's right - if you're gonna cbet then make it big, i reckon 13 is the minimum here, $9 just looks weak. once you're called you can pretty much give up on the hand, though.

maybe checking flop is the best option, since a $13 cbet pretty much commits you to the pot. he's never folding an A here, so maybe chck/call flop and see if he slows down on the turn. let him bluff at it and get a cheap showdown, or get away if he bets two streets.

Don't donk this flop after flat-calling his 3-bet. If you're ahead of villain then he's just afraid of the Ace as you are.
