Villain is 18/12... raises first in from button 36%... c bets 75%..and bets in position on turn only 37%.

ull Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (7 handed) - Full Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

Hero (BB) ($16.80)
UTG ($18.30)
MP1 ($9.75)
MP2 ($11.14)
CO ($10.13)
Button ($10.65)
SB ($10)

Preflop: Hero is BB with , 2h 2c
4 folds, Button bets $0.35, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.25

Flop: ($0.75) , 9h 2d Qs , (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $0.52, Hero raises to $1.90, Button calls $1.38

Turn: ($4.55) Kc (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $3.18

He's a good player, so I was trying to mix it up, but his bet size on turn looks strong, like he's trying to get it all in.....

Shove and if its 10 J write it off to cooler?

Why are you trying to set-mine when he opens 36% of his range?

Even when you hit 12% or whatever it is the time, you don't get paid off most of the time and every time you miss you c/f and lose 2bbs, and every time you hit you get very marginal earnings as you aren't getting paid off enough if his range is 36% here.

Fold pre-flop.

As played, you actually hit your set and a 36% range called your raise, fist-pump lets get it in.

So I guess I should just loosen up calling standards, but not call with pairs below 6 i guess... Anywys, I shoved and he had J 10, but I guess I had to take my chances, and i had full house outs... I guess with 36% range and no reraise on flop; there was no chance he had higher set..

di0d80 is right

Stick it in. If he does have JT you've still got 20% equity

I'm not sure you should have titled the post with "..sick turn card..". It's actually a perfect turn card unless the villain holds exactly JT because there is a good chance villain is raising any Kx on the button.

He has tons of Kx, Qx, and 2 pr combos and the combos of these hands greatly outnumber straights/sets. That said river TJA and possibly Q could kill your action. Since you're pretty far ahead on average and there is 1 psb left and some really ugly river cards, I think you should raise and try and stack some 2 pr combos or something like AK/AA.

Edit: Also, you don't want to just fold pairs under 6 and loosen up a bit otherwise. You really want a strong range that plays well vs his hand. Let the top of your folding range (example 44-66) become 3 bet bluffs and flat with some of your broadway hands, middle pairs, AJ/AT. The wider he calls 3-bets the more AJ type hands you can 3-bet with and still be dominating him when he calls.

Fold or 3bet pre imo (depending on his fold to 3b, postflop tendencies, etc). As played, $3.50 on the turn.
