I prefer 3-betting in SBvBTN. If you're calling because the BB is a whale, then it's probably best to also call on the flop and just keep playing the hand for its implied odds.

Seems perfectly fine as played. Probably a very good check on the the turn even though there must have been a temptation to barrel.

We have different valid options on each street apart from river as played, clear c-f. If we c-r flop (c-c makes a lot of sens too as other said) it's maybe not so bad to continue to rep a set (and 86s) and make him find a "good fold" with AA at some point, but if we don't check turn we're sort of commited to 3 barrels vs a range of mainly overpairs that might or might not fold so not doing it is reasonable.

People never fold overpairs here, I’ve tried.
Pre I don’t want him 4betting me or flatting AJ+ with me oop.
His stats came into my decisions pre and post flop. A dude who’s folded 23/24 times I’ve seen him is probably pretty strong when he calls my flop raise
