Nice Dovidiu! And icm I'd probably aim to SN by November just to give yourself some flexibility. Almost getting there but a few thousand VPPs off on New Year's Eve would really really suck.

By the way since you mentioned 6 max...

Not going back to the horrors of 6 max unless my roll is 300 BI+.

Im asking myself the same thing ..

6 max really puzzles me ... why do ( some, by that i mean me ! ) FR players struggle to get to grips with 6 max ?

I mean ... with table selection, you can have at least 2/6 really bad players and 3 other average / poor players ..

That seems a far better scenario that having maybe one really bad player, 4 tags and 3 nitty types on a table.

No way in hell am i quitting 6 max this time ... things just have to fall into place eventually ..

I have dropped to 10 tables from 12 .. felt with 12 i was timing out once or twice.

600 hands per hour on these tables should be well enough.

Right now I'm mixing $25nl, 25nl Euro, $50nl & 50nl Euro on a $5k roll. And I've been told that that is super nitty BRM. Especially because as of right now I'm playing like ~60% $25nl with ~15% 25nl Euro & $50nl and 10% 50nl Euro. (Playing 16 tables max but mostly just 10-14)

        play 8 tables.
variance is higher upswings are better and downswings worst i guess, really don't know about fr, asked here but none said anything

and btw rake its criminal at n10 your in a lot of marginal spots paying atrocious rake, so you must make lots of notes and exploid all villans whales and tagish.

Ask because even in nl2 all ppl seem nitty compared to the lol nl2 sh 1 nit 4 whales deep and me. In 5 , 10 25 its 8 nitty against me? is possible to make some pennys?

Liked to try it, but afraid of this idea is losing time like making 100k hands per limit in FR..and at the end show 0 profits.

And people said "less variance" the fr.... but nothing happens it´s normal that no variance up or down lol, i really don´t know...

Have the same dilemma. At FR most of the time is pretty boring and play a lot of hands without having to much profit.
6max looks way better, but the variance is enormous compared with FR,so what to do?

I´m doing ok after switch to 6max, still early to say though, but ya, is swingy.

Fwiw, I think the variance thing at 6max is what you make it. If you want to play a high variance style then yeah its gonna be high variance, but I don't think inherently 6max suffers from a huge amount more variance than FR. But I agree it's slightly higher variance.

Agree, just by nature of the game on 6max we face more marginal/thin spots than FR, so is logic to expect bigger swings even if we play less swingy aproach but the difference is not that huge to need like a 100bi BRM.

In general i think 6max is tougher and softer at the same time vs FR, if that make´s sense.

Im not so sure ... im no way overally aggro just because im on a 6 max table but im still struggling somewhat.

I do believe playing 6 max is a motivation in itself to improve my game .. FR can become a little predictable and it does not seem that difficult to mass table and churn out a decent win rate as long as you use a little common sense at certain times.

Saying that ... i always seem to run above EV at FR , im convinced its my post flop style but it could just be that i run well

But ... i always run way below EV at 6 max for whatever reason .. its always been the same .. it must be something to do with silly people willing to get it in with all kinds of crap... i do not know to be honest.

        I shall embrace the challenge.

wider ranges + worse postflop skills = more mistakes = higher variance.

In before; omg he called us ****. I did not, but as someone who also made the switch, I understand where the variance is coming from, I am in way more tougher spots than I used to be in at FR, could also have something to do with running 28/24/10 but still you get the point.

I do actually really enjoy poker again though.
