CO vs BTN AKo should be an automatic 4-bet with a plan to call it off at this depth. As played I think it's still a call but I know some MDA guys will say that when they do this it tends to be pretty strong.

Ez stack off preflop he's only 80bb deep. I would go all-in instead of 4B because off his sizing and stack size.

Extra tip : playing IP = good, OOP = bad

P.S. It's more likely you are wrong then everyone else is wrong...

Where does this confidence comes from?

It's a growing trend, not just in poker, but in other areas. People want to think that any mainstream or majority opinions are wrong, and that they are the ones smarter than everyone else because they see what others don't or some nonsense.

Questioning and testing popular ideas is fine. But people like him reject them simply because they want to. It's the fish side of "I need to move up to where they respect my raises." It becomes "I need to play in a different and unorthodox fashion because if I just play like everyone else I can't win." But of course people who play like this are the reason our games are so good, and where our profit comes from. They equate different with being better, but their thinking doesn't go any deeper than that, or if it does, it includes some pretty flawed logic.

Paging Dr Dunning and Dr Krueger…

For those unfamiliar, I think the Dunning-Kruger effect may be in play here. Dunnong and Kruger did a study where subjects were asked to perform an objective test of some kind then were asked to rate how well they thought did on the test. Naturally those subjects who performed well tended to rate their performance highly. The other group that tended to rate themselves well was the group with the lowest scores on the test. The conclusion of the study being that people who think they are experts at something tend to either be actual experts or those who really don’t know enough to realize that they suck.

Naturally, the D-K effect is a good source of profit for a lot of players.
