Abandoned CHeck Raise Bluff on the Turn Abandoned CHeck Raise Bluff on the Turn

The pre-text is two-part. 1) Playing my ABC game I would fold pre-flop, but understand I need to learn how to defend wider from the BB, particularly against the Button. 2) Also trying to abandon fit or fold and play deeper into hands, with a percentage of hands each street and looking for potential bluffs in the lower part of those ranges. You know, the Poker's 1% thing.

After abandoning a failed check-raise bluff on the turn, when I reviewed the hand later, it looks like this was a good place to follow through with the bluff on the river. I have 98 maybe 87 66,77, 44 for starters at least. Easy to say now given what he shows up with, but seems to me I only took "half-measures."

i dont think so.

you no longer block the nuts

youre gonna be over bluffing riv if every time you show up in this spot, regardless of your hands interaction w board, you continue for the sake of "sticking to your story"

id prolly just fold turn, meh g.s on a fd board. i dont think the xr is god awful, but riv shuts ur blocker down

Pre is standard, call or raise

We just have many better hands to get firey on this turn with. IIRC, that 1% thing is all about getting your frequencies reasonable on every street (which is basically gto), so a good idea might be to map our your entire range on this turn and allocate calls/folds/raises. Then run it through gto wizard to check (one free solve/day)

Thanks Ceres. Yeah1% is supposed to be the cliff notes to Janda. I am not ready for GTO, but am looking to emerge from fit or fold. Thanks again.
