I feel this hand was played awfully.

UTG raises to 3 BB, fold, Hero raises to 9 BB, fold, fold, BB calls 8 BB, fold
Are we ok to 3bet here at some frequency?

Flop: (21.4 BB, 2 players) 5

BB checks, Hero bets 6.8 BB, BB calls 6.8 BB
Is sizing fine here? or do you opt to mix in some checks too?

Turn: (35 BB, 2 players) 4

BB checks, Hero bets 18 BB, BB calls 18 BB
Thoughts?

Seems fine to me, cold-calling range is going to be pocket pairs so often QQ-99 maybe wider and the occasional King which beats you. Preflop fine wouldn't be doing this 100% though. River is a bit thin, against a bad player I would keep things simple and bet small again

The hand is well played.

We can mix small bets and checks on the turn or play depending on the opponent.
If the opponent is passive and will not bluff raise on the turn, then we bet 1/2 of the pot, if aggressive then check and Call / Bet on the river.

We can also mix checks and small bets 20-30% of the pot on the river to get calls from medium pockets.

Micros are rarely bluff-raised on later streets and it should be actively exploited.
