hey all, below is a hand i played a little while ago. i'm questioning my river decision to bet. my reasoning is as follows: i'm betting almost every river card because if i hit i have a great hand, and if i miss i'm still betting cos the flop was wet enough that villain will have been calling down with a missed broadway type draw himself and will fold to my bet.
fwiw i stoved and adjusted his range at every street and by the river i had it narrowed down to a selection of strong pockets and broadway/almost broadway cards (ie/ J9 etc.), and he was an 80/20 favourite at the time of my bet, which made me feel kinda donk. I thought with all those missed draws in there i may have been betting into a weaker range, but still i am bluffing so i didn't expect to be any good here, i just thought i'd post it for info.
what do you guys think of this? should i just check/fold and let it go or is it correct to barrel the river given the action and my reasons above? playing speed poker so villain is essentially unknown but does have kinda solid 24/19 stats after 66 hands. it feels like a decent spot to fire off but i've only been playing around with this kind of play recently.
thanks in advance, sorry for the tldr, just putting a bit of thought into my game atm.
