This is my first hand on the table but villain was never folding preflop so I dont have any other reads.

Flop and turn are ok imo, you can bet bigger on the flop to stack off on the turn but you are making him fold a lote of worst hands.On the turn, he is commited if he calls and we are calling if he raise.
Why do you want to check behind, you have two pair(+overpair), bet for value here.
If he has a 3 take a note and exploit later

Looks good. If sb is as donkish as you say he is, I might make it $2 on the flop so I'm set up for a nice pot-sized turn shove.
