hes a 9 5 with a 57 win at showodwn over a decent sample size. At first i was thinkn set but the turn card made it highly unlikely and the only hand hes repersenting here is 66. The river shove made me rethink that he might have gotten lucky and flopd the flush on me but i dont know. I think its a standard fold but what do you guys think

Good fold. He certainly has TP beat, probably 66 as you suggested, maybe AQ clubs but he isn't likely to call an UTG+1 raise with that OOP. So I would have to put him on 66 or 44, narrow range but thats all it could be.

Probably fold turn to save even more as suggested by holy.

When you called the turn I think you should be calling the river. You're not drawing to anything really. The 8d on the river doesn't change anything unless he had 88.

Unless you were hoping for a 4th club to try and take it away from him on a paired board.

I'm pretty sure that after the villains flop check raises, leads turn, he's going to lead the river.

Maybe could have saved yourself 12 dollars by folding the turn.

Fold to the flop raise. You lost more money to this nit than was necessary.

I would certainly raise more on the flop with a set on a mono board... so I'm discounting the set a bit, but AcQc looks possible. I would imagine most would fold or 3-bet pre though... since they're out of position. I fold though.

Until recently, I would have folded the turn. Correct play though, imho, is to fold the flop seeing as he is such a very risk avers player type.

And btw, I´ve seen even very tight players get out of line preflop (out of their line, that is) when they are the big blind and the raise is 3x. Trying to say I see more possible flushes than just AcQc.

9/6 6/4 rarely get out of line potflop. and then the 3F board, any further spade any we anyhow need to fold. i just don't love my cards here, i can't improve, at BEST i am splitting here with another AK.

"meeehh... not much invested, marginal spot, bye bye"

***Grunch***

I know I fold too often (especially in thin spots), but I fold the TURN, as played yes fold the river.

I don't know what your stats are or your table image so I don't know what villain is putting you on (or if he is capable) but your EP raise is strong (although I probably make it bigger 4-6BB) and he still minraises the flop and leads the turn - I'm done - if he stole it (which I doubt) i'm over it.

I agree, he is 100%, certain to fire again & pot would then be getting too large for you to be hanging on with TP on this flop.
