[50NL] What should I have done differently? [50NL] What should I have done differently?

Villain is a reg fish who plays pretty standard but has gotten out of line on a couple of occasions.

Villain SB(147 BB) opens to 3 BB
Hero BB (147 BB) 3bet to 10 BB AdQd
Villain calls 7 BB

Flop(19.5 BB) Jd 3h 6c
V: check
Hero: bet 8bb
V: min raise to 16bb
Hero: call 8bb

Turn (50 BB) 2d
V: bet 53 bb
Hero: call 53 bb

River( 156 BB) Ac
V: bet All in 68 bb
H: call 68 bb

My thoughts, and please correct me if I’m off on my thinking:
Flop is a standard cbet and then call to that sizing with overs and bdfd/bdsd
Turn: Even though it’s a pot size bet, he really chose a poor sizing leaving less then a pot size bet on the river. So instead of looking at it as I need 33% equity to call, I think I’m always getting the rest of his stack even when the flush hits so I only need closer to 24% equity( 53/218)
River: sigh call. I’m beat a lot here but only need to be good here 23% of the time. Also, get to fold QQ and KK here and call the few hands in my range with an A.

His range is a lot of JJ, 66, AJ but with these reg fish, especially in a blind vs blind situation, they get out of line at times when they see a smaller flop cbet. It’s not a lot but sometimes he just has a 78s or a KJ and just goes the distance.

I’d love to hear if there’s anything I should’ve done differently?

Probably want to cbet even smaller than $8 here. AQdd is basically a value bet but only if you bet small enough to keep a bunch of worse stuff in. I have a lot of students think they want folds with this hand but really only worse is folding and better is continuing if that's the case.

On turn, vs full pot I'm not sure your A and Q are clean outs and I would say you don't ALWAYS get all the money when a diamond comes in either. You will usually get it all but like you said BEST case scenario is 24%. It can get worse from here if his range is AJ+ and contains very few bluffs/giveups

So I would say cbet smaller, give yourself more maneuverability, and probably sigh/fold turn since we just don't quite have the equity I dont think.

Thanks a lot for the insight! As played, are you calling down on the river with this hand?

You probably shouldnt. Like you said his range is mostly AJ+ so he still only has very good hands on this card. Doesn't matter that we hit I don't think. The A as an out only helps when we face check and he has some sort of giveup/Jx

Flop sizing is fine because of deeper stacks, but the reason you are betting here is because you have the backdoor flushdraw...if you had AsQs xb would be a better play. You arent looking to get called by worse Ax or fold out anything better...you are betting because it makes sense given your exact holdings.

You are overestimating your implied odds when you hit your flush...fold turn.
