27/9/2.0AF 12 hands, 1 table

This might be standard, but do I shove here? I was afraid that he would fold one pair hands, and thought he would reraise anyway if he had a straight.

Well if we do shove here we are only getting called by 8x JT 6x. Considering you 2.5x from button I could see him coming in w/ A8 A6 and i guess JT. So hands we will get value from are limited so I like the sizing because it looks like a bluff.

Also he would have 3bet TT+ so I don't think those are in his range.

bet flop turn makes a shove easier. Any reason for not betting flop?

( he can call with FD, 5x worse 7x worse draws, I pot gets bigger by the time I hit etc etc)

as played to the river I like a larger raise. Villain's calling range is pretty inelastic given action. I also like firing flop.

Given the board, if he isn't bluffing he is going to have a hard time letting go of his hand so I think a shove is best.

Side note: is it just me or do you all find that ppl are more likely to think you are bluffing when you shove than making a solid value bet OTR?
