Player was playing 54/40 over 200 hands, but was incredibly fishy, and coolered me to get his stack.

Requesting thoughts on flop and turn play here, should I be betting turn to price out his draws here, or is it too thin?

He was opening 80% hands from the button.

why not b/c call turn? you would be doing this for value mostly, and you also price out any draws. unless villian makes stupid tiny bets for value or is good enough to induce a spaz, i think i would raise the river, because this could be a ten or worse ace a lot, trying to rep the flush, so you would be happy with a call, or lukewarm with the fold.

Am I the only one who doesn't 3 bet A8s here?

Is it not better to 3 bet with strong hands that are easy to play postflop and some garbage hands like low suited connectors (57s, 68s ect) to increase your 3 bet percentage?

It just makes it so hard when we get an a/x/x flop and know that we can be outkicked so this puts us in difficult spots on each street. It's just so much easier to 3 bet the stronger aces so that if we have AQ and hit an a/x/x flop, we can know we can stack off.

You have a good point here delerium, but i felt A8 was just crushing his range so bad here, I had some major preflop bet sizing tells on this guy and he almost always showed down weak holdings when min-raise calling preflop. I felt it was the best play, I was also trying to maintain momentum, as I had won the last 8 or 9 hands. There were a lot of variables that went into 3-betting pre here, I felt the positives out-weighed the negatives.

Also, this guy is never folding 2p on this river, he never folds to river bets, as I had run some +EV bluffs on this guy and got snapped off semi-light. He has no idea how to play at all, hes basically ****ting in his hand and throwing it at his keyboard.

Just a weird hand overall, and tbh I think I would have posted it had I won the hand aswell.

i agree to delerium. I wouldnt 3bet A8s. As played i would bet the turn and fold to a raise. The river i would probably check-call.

c/c river is very bad, You could probably make a small
blocking bet and he wont raise you unless you´re beat.
Nothing wrong with 3betting A8s if he´s minraising his
weaker range and calls a 3bet with that range.
Bet bigger on turn.

Three bet is fine depending on how wide he calls etc. Against a donk i bet 6-7 on flop and 80% of pot on flop. I know a lot of people suggest betting much less in three bet pots but when i am stacking donks my three bet range is 100% for value so i can get away with betting more i think as i so often has a hand that wants called.

I don't understand the rationale behind the turn check at all, unless it is to c/r a spewtard.
