I was in a similar spot recently and I just flatted to show down and villain turned up with a weak flopped middle pair, which he would have folded to a raise IMO.

For me, calling > folding > raising.

I agree with this to some degree, I flatted pre to keep his range wide. I think the last line is the difference here. I really felt confident he would call a turn shove with worse, and I wasn't sure he would continue to fire on the river with worse. He's one of those "it ain't over till it's over" showdown monkeys.

I think both lines are fine given our specific reads, and these spots are completely villain dependent.

Agreed the sample size isn't huge but given his 3bet% and vpip both tell the same story I'm inclined to think it's pretty close to being accurate. It would be one thing if he were 17-14 and had a 24% 3bet, but everything about this guys says spewmonkey.

I think we can safely assume his real 3bet is at minimum 20%.

I think the only way I would play this is to call flop turn, and river. Pray pray no "scare card" comes. Shoving the turn is meh IMO when he will bluff most likely on triple barrel. If he had an overpair, which he can have given this line, then gg.

I understand your thinking though OP, he may be that fish that calls turn on overs
