I'm BB with As9d and call
Villain calls. pot ~120.
Flop 10s9s9c - action checks through.
Turn 4h. Ready to bet when villain asks if I checked. Seemed very interested. MP opponent starts cutting out a bet. We both check. She bets $70.
I raise to $170 with the idea that there are many combo draws in opponents range. I think this was an error in hindsight especially since I held the A of spades and villain was giving off a lot of strength.
Villain flat calls my $170. MP folds. Pot ~530
River 7h. I jammed remaining ~310
I think I should've check called the river if there was a chance opponent turned missed draw into bluff. Don't think I'm getting called by many hands I beat now that I've thought it over. I also think he doesn't flat call with many big draws on a 1099 paired board vs BB.
Villain turns over 1010.
Anyways, thanks for your thoughts!
I think you are being a bit results oriented.. I prefer a bet on the flop that board is super wet lots of draws and I think if you size correctly (fairly small) you are going to get called by draws and worse 9s..
on the river i am not sure about your ship..your entire line looks pretty strong and I am not sure what is going to call that bet.. I would prefer to just go ahead an lead out something like $200 and hope to get hero called by a T...
