3bet pot before it gets to me with AK 3bet pot before it gets to me with AK

Hi All,

This may be a silly question but I thought I'd post as I'm playing this hand a few different ways and would like some opinions on what the best way to play it is. The scenario is there's a preflop raise, then a 3bet before it gets to me and I have AK in SB. Now, 3bettor rarely 3bets so is it safe to assume they are 3betting with KK, AA and AK? Do you throw QQ in there? What would you do in this scenario?

Here's a hand history example:

PokerStars - $0.10 NL FAST - Holdem - 9 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: $10.00 (VPIP: 16.67, PFR: 14.49, 3Bet Preflop: 4.26, Hands: 277)
Hero (SB): $9.29
BB: $10.00
UTG: $14.87
UTG+1: $10.00
MP: $10.00
MP+1: $9.75
MP+2: $6.95 (VPIP: 0.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 1)
CO: $5.99

Hero posts SB $0.05, BB posts BB $0.10

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.15) Hero has K A

fold, fold, fold, fold, MP+2 raises to $0.30, fold, BTN raises to $0.85, hero??

Do you flat, 4bet or fold? Haha I know folding would be really nitty but curious to hear your opinion! a 4% 3bet range scares me! I know 200 hands isn't a great sample size but curious to hear your thoughts.

Not flatting this bc we will whiff and have to give up a lot, dont really want to 4b and gii vs this guy because we will do badly vs his range and 4b folding is pretty bad as well with AK imo so that leaves one option

Thanks for the info... That's what I was struggling with as none of the alternatives seem that great

It's a 4bet/fold or 4bet/call IMO. Assuming you make it ~$2.50, then probably the 4bet/fold given I think at worst he shoves AK and QQ+ (not got an EV calculator with me to check that though).

Villain is 3betting 4.26% and the fact he's on the button means he's gonna have a wider range than the one you are giving him.
