Villain was playing 35/5 over about 60 hands. He limped the SB quite a few times and I raised him every time. He mostly folded, and when he did call he mostly c/f and he donked once or twice.

Not sure how relevant that is but whatever.

Do you call here? Are there any worse hands that do this? Maybe a worse eight or AQ?

ofcourse we call here, he could shove hearts, a queen, weaker 8's, whatever.. And almost nothing beats you.

I call. Hard to put you on an 8 here. He's also sick of you pounding him BvB and is taking a stand with less.

I'm afraid you're right. He showed 44. It's just that when a loose passive fish raises on the turn, it's usually not a bluff.

Although in this case we do beat most of his value range, so a call is the right play.
