CO: $25.35
BTN: $37.28
SB: $34.13
BB: $11.58
Hero (UTG): $25.22
MP: $26.92

Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero is UTG with T T
Hero raises to $0.85, 2 folds, BTN calls $0.85, 2 folds

Flop: ($2.05) 3 9 9 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.50, BTN raises to $4, Hero requests TIME, Hero ???

So I just sat down at this table. I've never played with this guy before, so I have like 3 hands on him. I don't think there is much information that I can infer from his flat preflop or the size of his raise on the flop.

Given that, I feel that fold > 3b > call. However, I can't help but feeling that I am missing value at the same time as I could easily be ahead of his range.

Any advice?

Folding is too weak imo. He could be doing this with air/FD/9x/PP. I know it sucks that we are OOP but I'd call and c/c most turns. I'd fold on any heart or A turn.

Fwiw I doubt a random 25nler is raising a 9, and qq+ is unlikely. Fds are possible, as are lower pps and a lot of air.

Don't have stove handy but I think ur prob ahead of a randoms range here and 3bet/c will be a profitable line oop

Why would he be raising you with a nine here? to scare you off with your possible overs ( TT-AA), with which you` ll be bet-bet-bet?
His raise is small. FD are more likely. Or some overcards.
