How do I play this hand most profitably? I felt like I needed to raise to determine if a flush was out there, and at the same time prevent drawing. I really like my hand and want to keep the people in who have a slightly worse hand than me. Is this impossible?

Raise to $3 next time and this is fine. BTW, it says you were UTG but checked? If you posted to get in on the table, don't do that anymore.

yea your flop raise is too small, you are giving very goods odds if he has a flush draw

typically i dont like these spots because weak players almost always chase, but they pay off when they miss

i did post. cuz i was impatient (usually i wait though).

regardling the pot odds. I bet the pot on the flop. As far as I knew, betting the pot or bigger will make it bad odds to call a flush. Am I wrong? How much more do I need to bet in relation to the pot?

edit: sorry I bet 4/5 of the pot.. i guess i should have bet a little higher. (especially since there were possible straight outs too)
