25NL Deep Stack Play - Set on Flush board 25NL Deep Stack Play - Set on Flush board

Thanks in advance to those that post replies. I haven't read much on these forums about deep stack play.

I'm already 4 buy ins deep and facing heads up against someone 2 buy ins deep. I flop a set but the board is flushed out. How do I extract the most value out of this? Did I play this correctly? Or should I have raised? stacked off?

Bet until raised and hope board pairs along the way?

Btw, your hand converter is mad tilting. You mind finding one that uses proper "hero" labels?

You don't like money do you.

I c-bet the flop, fire the turn, fire the river. Fire fire fire till they give you reason to stop. He can call with so much worse (an Ace, spades, a pair + a spade), a straight draw.

You need to protect your hand dude. And get value obviously. Great flop. You have aces and large spades hooked for a bet or two. I have no idea why you would check. Are you slowplaying or afraid of the flush? Both of these are bad thoughts fwiw. Bet/call flop (dunno about 3bet or not), bet turn, keep firing. Stop worrying about worst case scenarios and get value from your set before the board goes to ****.

^^

Sorry but your play was bad basically on every street except pre. I think you would have made more money using any other line (other than folding). Effective stacks aren't as deep as you think. Put as much money into the pot as possible with your monster on this draw heavy board. You need to develop the mentality to use your stack as a tool in this situation, not treat it as a handicap to prevent you from being aggressive. If your br dictates that you play very cautiously, rebuying in for starting stack at another table might be wiser than playing the hand this passively.

Cbet flop, if he raises you can jam. Bet turn, if he shoves you call.
Jam river.

I don't mind stacking off on the flop since he could easily be doing this with a bare king of spades and we have a redraw to the nuts even when he does have a flush, but doesn't a turn raise by villain only indicate a made flush?

Yea...I thought my play was too passive. All the ^^ posts just confirm it which is what expected to get railed on. In truth, in any other monetary situation I would have stacked off but my read told me something was a little off. Why was this guy being so aggressive on a scary flop since we were both deep stacked? Doesn't that make the flush more likely? I wasn't sure what the proper strategy was here so I played it safe.

get a new table, u dont want to be out of position to another big stack unless its a giant fish. and in this case the TWO people to your left are 200bb+, get out.

bet bet bet, that flop is awesome for u, dont be scared of flushes. only slow down if u get raised or a 4th spade hits.

Even against a flush, you have a very good chance of hitting a boat/quads, giving you close to 40% equity, and that's the worst case scenario. Stacking off on the flop would be very standard here, so u need to bet the flop. Now, on the turn/river, you might want to try for some pot control by c/calling or something, depending on villain and what cards hit (a 4th spade would be pretty ****ty), but long story short, don't outthink yourself.
