CO: $5.00

SB: $25.00
BB: $21.85

Hero (MP): $26.05

Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero is MP with 8 8
1 fold, Hero raises to $1, 3 folds, BB calls $0.75

Flop: ($2.10) 4 7 6 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1.50, BB raises to $4.25, Hero calls $2.75

Turn: ($10.60) T (2 players)
BB bets $16.60 all in, Hero ???

Villain was a 91/26/1.3 over 68 hands. His flop c/r was 30% out of 10. His fold-to-cbet was 18% out of 11. I thought about just reraising all-in on the Flop, but didn't want to risk my stack on my hand since I would be in bad shape against 2-pairs, sets, larger overpairs, and made straights. I only had 6 outs, at best, if I was behind, so I just called. Then, when he open shoved Turn when an overcard hit, I was pretty convinced he had me beat. Thoughts?

Holy crap. I think you absolutely must 3bet the flop. I think you would raise it to about $14 to pot it, so why leave your other $10 behind? This is based entirely on the 91% VP$P and check/raise 3 out of 10 opportunities. The turn plays tricky when you call his flop raise anyway, which is an even better reason to 3bet shove flop. If he has you beat, just sigh and reload. He's two seats to your right, which is a great place to keep a villain like this.

If you're afraid about being behind, why not just bet/fold the flop?

snap shove flop, you would get called down by just about everything by a player like this.

With the stats you give, this is the easiest flop shove ever.

This guy who plays tonnes of hands and plays them aggressively thinks A7, K7 78, 75s is the nuts here. If he is check raising a lot it is fine to get all in here. 56, 45, 55, two pair and sets, 7x, higher PP's is his range.
You can be beat and he will c/r hands your both ahead and behind of, but it is fine to get it in here, villain sees hand strength differently to you, that's why he checks raises a lot, he thinks TP and draws are the nuts.
Also vs such a huge fish who doesn't fold to cbets, cbet bigger here, making it bigger doesn't effect his calling range, so you just get more value.

As played, call and reload if necessary. Most of the time this is a pair and open-ended vs this type of player.

I think this an easy 3bet shove on the flop. Based on reads villain seems horrible and is c/r a lot worse on this board. Get it in and get paid by a lot of top pair/pp/drawing hands in his range. Prefer this to flat calling flop as turn brings mainly horrible cards. Against this villain I'm stacking off every time. Obviously against a TAG its a fold imo.

Easy shove flop imo.

Thx for all the replies, guys. Yeah, I really wanted to shove Flop, but just couldn't stop thinking about all the hands that had me beat. So, yeah, I spose shoving the Flop was a good idea with villain's LAG tendencies, but my next question, is what if Villain was a 35/28, a 42/15, or a 18/14? How does that change my decision? Spraggy, u said it's an obvious fold against a TAG. Do most people agree with that, or is this a fairly easy flop shove in most cases, and I'm just a big nit? =)

Crap, you're right. I didn't even notice that. Lol! I might've called had I noticed that at the time. Haha! Good observation.

i think given your reads you need to repop this flop. You have this villains range crushed most of the time.
