Guy is fairly loose, I think I had him at 24/18 or so. What do we think of this big 4bet? If he 4bet smaller or shoved does that change our decision?

I'm usually 3-betting to at least $5 even against these min raises.

FWIW, I tend to flat with JJ against UTG raises, unless they are LAGtards. Also, 24/18 isn't really loose.

This is 25NL, so the 1$ raise is standard.

JJ is not an auto-3bet hand. Really the only time you should be 3betting w/ JJ is IP vs someone you know will be calling with worse. If you think about people's folding vs calling vs raising ranges vs 3bets, you'll realize 3betting JJ here is a mistake.

Someone let me know if this is right... I'm not professional by any means.

I think I would either shove or fold. Even if he is slowplaying a monster 1/3 of the time, could you steal the $11 plus blinds with a shove the other 2/3? Also take into account the likelyhood that he would call with AK, AQ, but even then ur at about a coin toss.

But if he often slowplays his monsters, then I'd be much more inclined to fold

What do you guys think?

I think a lot of flops are scarry if you call this. You are first to act, which usually means firing on almost anything, even if A K or Q come up. If the villan is raising to $11 id rather not see a flop. If he misses his flop, hes probably going to fold to your flop bet, and if he hits its -EV for you... Am I completely off here or something?

i dont think calling is an option here coz u get 1/3 of your stack in, u are OOP and if villain shoves any flop without J it becomes very tough..
fold/shove pf, but i would fold because its qq+ usually
