8-game is basically HORSE with PLO, NLHE, and 2-7 triple draw added to the rotation.

Badugi, well... it's interesting. You want to make the best possible 4-card low, of all different suits. Fun action game, but I'm not sure if the tourney structure is going to be fixed, pot-, or no-limit betting.

Any draw or stud event will be limit. I think there is one limit and one NL/PL event each weekend. (just checked, yes - same as last year).

Badugi will therefore be limit

I'm moving to manchester on the 15th, so will be without internet for the next week or two until i get it sorted. I will join when its sorted, and if i do it will be $15 - Eggpie on stars. If you still need a host when i join, then i'll do it. If i have a choice i will host HU again.

Couple of definitions:

Razz: 7-card stud for low, ace-to-five (aces are low, straights and flushes don't count)
Omaha8: Limit Omaha high-low split, eight-or-better qualifier for low
PLO8: Pot-limit Omaha high-low split, eight-or-better
Stud8: 7-card stud high-low split, eight-or-better
Triple draw: Limit 5-card draw for low, deuce-to-seven (straights and flushes count high, aces are high)
Badugi: 4-card triple draw (limit); only cards with different rank and suit count; lowest hand involving most cards wins. Nuts: A234r. Betting in both draw variations is just like Limit Holdem.
HORSE: Holdem, Omaha8, Razz, 7-card Stud high, Stud8 in rotation (all limit)
8-game: Like HORSE, plus NLHE, PLO, and Triple Draw

question: do i have to put into the kitty if i just want to play 1 or 2 events? it is highly unlikey i would be able to make even the minimum 5 to qualify, but i would be interested in playing the few i might be available for.

I'll host one of the first 4 events dont really care which one since i equally suck in all of then

. Wont be able to play more then a couple event my self though. Will i be able to just signup for the tournaments that i want to play without joining the competition?

I do have a list on my other computer. The idea was that everyone should put up at least $5 for the side pool. Since the sign up has been slow we might need to reconsider this. Thoughts?

i'm like 50-50 be able to do it. my sunday schedule is all ****ed up right now, but it may clear up soon. if i think i will be able to play 5 events, i will gladly put in the pool. i just don't wanna if there is a sizeable chance i wont make 5 events and qualify for POTY, but i would still like to play a few with fellow 2p2ers if i can.

The (obvious?) solution is to make the POTY pools optional, and if you don't pay into them, then you're not eligible for the prize.

I think. Maybe having 2 pools complicates things... perhaps go for just the cheapo pool?

(I swear that I'm not just saying that because I only have enough on Stars to cover the tourneys, scouts honor.

)
