I'm assuming this guy doesnt have much of a XR range OTF based on MDA

Preflop makes him much wider than he should be but it also allows him to have much more Jx than he should have. Couple that with a low flop XR frequency and we probably can't go 3 streets here.

I'd X turn after thinking about it but fold vs the jam. Interested in results.

I played with this guy for awhile after this hand and his VPIP was 90. He called down with all kinds of interesting things but bet and raised big when he had it. He would bluff just ridiculously small. I folded here and from what I saw after that it seemed like my line was probably the best play.

Your game selection is always on point, I feel like all of the hands you post are vs fish.

Since we block QT and QJ--villain probably has all 32 of those combos in their range preflop--I am calling.

It's also possible they are one of those fish who have a merged instead of polarized range.

This last point has the least merit, but deep stacked fish are also more apt to bully other players since they are already up so much.

I think fold is the best play too specially cauze your size OTF was medium so Villian isnt that wide OTT and there arent many draws that we are ahead of when he JAMS even if he Jams a nut FD that is the best case scenario he still has a lot of equity but most of the time people is value heavy on this spot. I think you should have checked OTT cauze this isnt a runout that we can get 3 streets of value except if villian is a massive calling station and if you think he is so then you should size down OTF.

I would have played the hand different by range betting small OTF and XB OTT and then betting OTR so by doing this I allow villian range to continue wider OTF so he can bluff me on later streets or he can hit something and bluff catch vs my river bet. This is how I would play this spot it doesnt mean its the right way or best play, just sharing my thoughts. GG

What would you do vs a small XR OTT ?

Ha thanks, yeah I only play 3-4 tables maximum so I try very hard to be a good tables. You make solid points. I really wanted to call lol. But after playing with him for awhile I think I made the right play by folding. The guy bet and raised big when he had it, called down pretty lightly with marginal hands. He bluffed very small rediculous amounts. He seemed like a totally transparent player.

Yeah I believe the more popular amount to bet here is the 1/3 size. I typically simplify my strategy and c bet 1/2 on Q- paired boards in 3 bet pots when IP. I just went with standard play again on the turn by following it up with another 1/2 bet. Turns out this guy was no bluffer, but I didn't know that at the time and that didn't drive my reason to bet the turn. When I'm in a situation where I'm not sure what to do I typically default to GTO moves, though this guy certainly isn't the standard opponent, so it's a tough call in the moment I think.

I don't think fish mess around much like this on paired boards, so I'd probably just fold.
