Sorry, maybe I misunderstood. I see lots of players who allow ego and pride get the best of them, and it's not just in poker. I used to play Halo a ton, and a lot of people place their personal value in what they do. In other words, if I pwn you, I rock and am a super cool, 1337, dewd. If I get pwnd, I suck and my self worth drops.
It's natural to try to be good at anything you do, but don't go on life tilt because you're not all that good yet. I like the quote that states that failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently. The issue with poker is that playing well, doesn't always equate with immediate rewards, and playing poorly doesn't always equate to immediate punishment. Add the fact that sometimes we have incomplete information, and we can allow our judgement to be clouded.
