How do you play exploitative vs. someone who is unknown then?

Bottom of my barrel range would be hands with overcard + backdoor SD or FD.

it's played fine, we don't need to protect our hand, fd's only make up a small portion of his range, betting the flop narrows his range to Kx and fd's checking here keeps it wide and allows him to v-town himself with 33 44 55 66 77 88 99 TT jj + fd's - and the times he calls or xr's otf we put ourselves in a tough spot.

Let's look at our 3b range - Personally for me in this spot it's - AA-QQ AJo KQo Aks-Aqs A5-A4s 89s T9s - from this range im betting on this flop as a bluff with - Ajo 89s T9s A5s A4s (these hands can fold out better) - then i'll be checking back QQ KQo AQs and value betting KK AA AK.

You'll notice i keep my XB range strong by betting later streets with Kqo, that way our xb range can still contain tp hands strong enough to call two streets to help us balance times we have QQ in this spot.

I must mention, that not all of these hands i will 3b, player dependant if i'm 3b'ing Aqs for example and if the player is passive, i'll probably bet w KQo for value and not check it back.

you can check back some air too as well as the SP hands. but you can't check back ONLY air cos then someone could just bet ATC on the turn and you'd have to fold. i don't see what's so hard to understand?

Can see reasons for both check and bet, he won't have better very often and you're expected to cbet this texture very frequently.

Something like A4ss is a bad hand to cbet. QQ otoh is a valuebet.

I definitely think A4ss is a better hand to cbet than QQ especially since you block AK with A4 rather than QQ and the potential to barrel turns and hit a strong hand in the future

QQ is only a 1-2 street value hand here and flop isn't the best place to get it since you can get raised (even if it's unlikely) and bluffed on later streets

Giving a free card isn't even a problem since you block AQ to begin with

IMO, c-bet and x are likely similar EV, HOWEVER, in terms of balancing, its a clear check
