What factors/metrics should I be considering when deciding my preflop range.
E.G. VPIP/PFR etc.
I understand that your preflop range is positional, you’re either IP or OOP, but what other factors may change my preflop approach?

Gonna mostly be the players who are left to act. If you have fish in the blinds and nits to your left, open wider. If you have aggressive regs to your left, open tighter

What metrics determine fish, nits, aggressive regs? Just VPIP/PFR?

Pretty much everything your opponents do affects preflop adjustments.

For categorizing players, you need to use a more qualitative approach and take into account many different hud stats, showdowns, and other meta stuff like stack size, sizings on different spots...

They’re variable depending on different textures/stack size/rake/bet size and position, I understand. I was asking more on these lines for people to outline what these factors are, and how they come into fruition / when you don’t need them. Could you give me some examples?

If you want quantitative answers i feel like you should ask more specific questions. General questions usually come from people who haven't made an individual effort to come up with their own solutions and put them to the test. When Someone makes that effort they usually end up finding more narrowly defined roadblocks that lead to better questions
