hey guys... I'm just wondering how you guys would have played this hand/ your thought process.

So it folds to me, I have KK of course I'm raising. The button 3bets me... with the stats of 7% 3bet .. so I'm thinking I'm ahead of his range for sure, so I 4bet for value and he calls. But I'm not sure what his 4bet calling range is here? he does have position on me and we're both deep.. so that could widen up his range a bit, I think. So I cbet the flop, out of position, to see if can get some top pair hands/drawing hands to call. Looking back now I think I should of bet a lot more... around... $1.85? or maybe even $2 .. When he raises me I don't think it could ever be a bluff.. or could it be since I bet kind of small? His raise on the flop isn't a big raise at all, a little more than a min raise, Should I call here and see the turn? I don't think I would raise here against this guy.. cause his raise is soo small, its like he wants me to continue..

well thats my thought process in the hand..

whats yours?

I would say 4bet bigger preflop... C-bet a bit bigger...

As played however i dont see much hands that we are beating... qq and jj got there (would be strange, but possible) and AA had us already... Dont think he will have much bluff in his range... I can see a fold here?

Well firstly, this is $4NL but deep stacked. This makes a difference, especially relevant in this hand. Villian is fairly aggro, are all your stats from him from $4NL deep stacked, as this matters too?

Basically, the problem deep stacked is that the value of single pair hands goes down, whereas the value of hands that can draw to flushes/straights go up. People therefore become uber-aggressive with their draws in deep stack tables, as they can win mega big with them. Therefore, reverse implied odds with PPs get pretty massive once they don't hit big.

For this reason, I think you either need to flat or shove pre, and this depends on your post flop play. If you feel you can't get away from the hand, I'd just shove over villains 3bet, he's 3betting wide and therefore he may well fold out everything but KK+, AKs+, but deep stacked if you want easy play, get the money in pre when your odds are best.

If you think you can play KK ok post flop, then I'd consider flatting here. 4betting for value just creates a massive pot that will be tricky to control, whereas if you flat you get more room to manouver post flop.

As played, you have to bet the flop bigger, there are so many draws in villains range that you have to charge them. This also means that if he min-bets (and he may not do if you bet bigger), you have to seriosuly consider whether you are continuing, as he is esentially setting up a pot that could have you all in by the river.

In terms of villains play, I hate the min bet with pretty much everything he could be holding, i suppose you could argue it with QQ with the Qd, but I hate min-raises in general.

As played, I think you have to commit or fold. I hate calling because what do we like on the turn? Even a K completes a possible straight draw, all diamonds suck with the possible exception of Ad but then we still have to redraw to make the nuts. Shoving probably gets a lot of calls from draws, AQd, ATd, 9Td, 89d etc. But also obvioulsy all sets, and probably AA, particularly if it has the Ad, plus maybe AKo with the Ad.

It's pretty nitty, but I think you can find a fold here and not feel too beat up about it.
