I would check and probably call river esp if he bets half pot or something.

Block betting with thin value doesn't work tha t well vs fish because it induces a lot of bluff but they also have value in that line. It usually is better to check and call or fold if they have sizing tell.

Try not to show his hand next time. If you want to ask if him checking back the turn makes it less likely he has a set then ya it kind of does. So when you call the river, its because it looked like he gave up the turn.

Good read

Seriously though, a loose passive player (or so you thought at the time) starts getting aggressive otf, which was a pretty dry one, checks back when a straight draw hits the turn, then shoves a river that puts a fourth straight card on the board and completes a flush draw. In a vacuum, I don’t think I could find a call here with TPTK. I’d have to think villain has at least 2 pair plus otf or a draw that hit. Against a loose passive player, I’m pretty sure I’d fold.

Yeah I was pretty tired when I played this hand and planned on block folding and then talked myself into the call but not sure how I feel about it, even though we won feels misplayed with the info I had at the time
