Comparing solver EVs... is a rabbit hole and should not be considered in general discussion. you can nodelock so much **** and the EV remains the same or similar.
But sizings DO matter, and using big sizings is just not good in this spot from a math/theoretical standpoint and from a feel/explo oriented way.
Big sizing (1/2)
1. Makes it easier for Opp. to play against our range
2. Reduces the effectiveness of bluffs, IE our hands realize less equity as when the bet gets bigger the more often he can jam.
3. ls harder to balance, as you can't range for that sizing + will probably be underbluffed.
Small sizing (1/5-1/4)
1. Harder to play against BBB than BB.
2. Allows us to range bet, effectively reducing the size of our tree and increasing villains as he is forced to continue with more hands.
3. Reduces the effectiveness of flop jams by villain, as he has less incentive to jam IE less money to win when we fold. We see the turn more often.
A lot of ppl nowadays like to say that sizings dont matter as long as you balance it but it definitely matters.
Non of those points contradicts what I said. I said if you think your opponent will play badly vs one sizing then use that one.
Sizing matters from expolit point of view, but from theoretical not so much...
If you have some better method of compering EVs good for you.
