Villain is 27/7 with a 1.6 aggression factor and has raised 0% of his hands from the SB. I don't really remember my stats but I was either 25/17 or 15/11.

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (5 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

Button ($21.85)
SB ($25.38)
Hero (BB) ($12.47)
UTG ($10)
MP ($2.27)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J, J
3 folds, SB calls $0.05, Hero bets $0.40, SB calls $0.30

Flop: ($0.80) 3, 10, 9 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.50, SB calls $0.50

Turn: ($1.80) 10 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $1.20, SB raises to $3.70, Hero?

I know the "Check/raise on the turn means they're beating TPTK" saying, but I felt that his limp/calling range contained a lot of suited hands that he could have semi-bluffed with. However, I also thought that a suited ten was huge in his limp/calling range.

Maybe I should have checked the turn for pot control? I guess I was afraid of a scare card coming on the river.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

.65-.80 on the flop.

Turn bet is good since there are still a ton of draws that will call us. You didn't say how many hands you have on the guy.. but with that low AF, it's not likely he's c/r as a semi-bluff here. Bet/fold is good.

I had about 100 hands on the guy.

Yeah, I guess given his aggression factor, the range of hands that he's limp/calling with and the check/raising the turn value-ish all beat me. I don't really see him doing it with a suited ace and any sort of QJs and J8s hands are less likely since I had JJ.

Spoiler:

Hero calls $2.50

River: ($9.20) 3 (2 players)
SB bets $4.80, Hero calls $4.80

Total pot: $18.80 | Rake: $1.25
SB had Q, 10 (full house, tens over threes).
Hero had J, J (two pair, Jacks and tens).
Outcome: SB won $17.55

I used my time bank on the turn and ended up making a crying call. I know this was definitely avoidable, since usually my crying calls end up behind (maybe 65-80%), but is a fold here EV+ against a person with these stats and at 10NL?

Yeah, this is a clear fold. It sucks but his agg factor is only 1.6, if it was 4-5 over a solid sample you could see him doing this lighter.

Also checking the turn for pot control is losing money from all the draws on this board and stubborn 9x/PPs
