I would sometimes 3-bet KJo in SB vs BTN when he uses that sizing. I much prefer to be suited when 3-betting OOP. KTo is just too weak, so I fold.

I think most people will give you the conservative advice, the way that you should play most of the time which is fold pre. However I don't mind the 3bet a certain percentage of the time regardless of your two cards to keep the button in line. He seems a bit gambly based on his 3B% so you don't expect him to auto-fold to 3bets very often-- so K10 is okay-ish I think, because with a guy who's raising a lot of lower connectors and lower pairs and calling with the same range, K10 is comfortable (not happy) to see a flop.

Based on your play, of course folding looks like the right option (as played)...

Although since we are discussing "as played," I must also suggest that sometimes you find the balls to fire a 1/2 to 3/4 turn barrel. Perhaps this is a 50/50 proposition at best, but since you are only firing 3/4 at most, if it is truly a 50/50 then you win in the long run.

But no seriously, I think the A on the turn benefits your range as much as the BU's range, so it is simply a game of BS to see if he either has an A or does not.

And-- in the event that he even has an A-- if that is all he has, you have river fold equity if he doesn't hit 2 pair.

So as played, yes fold. But consider turn barrel (although most will say this is suicide and probably is, must continue at least some time right?)

I think this is the correct LAG play to sometimes barrel turn. Even if you get caught bluffing, that is what keeps you getting paid off, the possibility that you can bluff turn.

Based on villain's turn sizing, I'm calling. (He could be overplaying various hands you beat). I'd try and fold queen-high flushes though.

When both players have position on you, you should be doing a lot of checking on the flop. It's probably feasible to check 100% of your range. Betting big definitely isn't a great idea unless both players are whales. When both call flop, checking the turn would be my line, in order to keep the floats around. Just consider how sick you feel if you bet the turn and one of the villain's raises, which they could do with monsters or combo draws. It's only really AQ/KQs (and you block the latter) that calls down if you keep betting. Obviously check-fold that particular river. On blanks, check-call.

$1/$2 Live NLH at Red Rock in LV. Table is mostly soft with no one 3 betting with any frequency.

From MP I raise to 3BB with Ks9h and get called in 3 spots including the big blind.

    Pot 12.5 BB

    Flop comes KcTh3h

I bet 7.5BB and get raised to 22.5BB total by Villain. Button and SB fold.

    Pot 42.5BB

    To call 15BB

    Odds 2.8:1

Based in his bet sizing, V has to have 26% bluffs in his range. Opponent has never raised a hand post flop since you’ve seen him play. He’s easily one of the oldest people at the table and has been very conservative up to this point.

I ultimately decide to fold because I assumed he couldn’t have that many bluffs in his range given what I had observed about his play.

Later I checked my math with a hand range I assigned him using Equilab.

I assume he just calls with TT-22, KTs+, QTs+, J9s+, T8s+,98s, 87s, KJo+, QTo+, JTo, T9o, 98o (133 hands) and that he’d only raise three of a kind, two pair, top pair, gutshot, and two card flush draws. Therefore he’s got 23 value hands and 7 bluffs. 7/30 = 23% bluffs.

The math favors a fold based on this one hand range but in retrospect he could easily have suited aces in his range that increase the number of bluffs possible here. Specifically:

    1) What do you think about the hand range I assigned him?
    2) Do you agree I should include suites aces here?
    3) Was this too nitty of a fold and should I just go back to hiding under a rock?

Thanks! Eager for any other feedback you have as well!

Hand 1 I think you can fold to that sizing but I don't hate the call too much.

Hand 2 definitely raise flop, there are no 2p combos and you're likely to have and you don't have KK either so your raise will look like a flush draw even air (also if you don't raise sets here you pretty much can't ever raise this flop with a FD, idk how much that kind of balance matters on zoom tho). As played bet turn.

Hand 3 I think raising the flop is best BTN vs BB, not sure tho
