Villain had VPIP of 55% over several dozen hands, was playing tons of hands. I had seen him donk plenty of flops that he hit, so I initially interpreted his flop check as relative weakness. When he called my flop bet, I put him on a weak ace, a queen, or a flush draw and figured I'd get value with my better kicker.

PF if you are raising here you want to raise more. Some games I might only raise AQ+ here. But if you are raising, you need to go higher, maybe $0.25.

After he limps and sb folds, your 0.18 raise gives him good odds to call wide. $0.25 in the pot and he only has to call $0.12. That's just over 2-1 in the call, plus he has position. While your AJ is ahead of his limping range, it's not that far ahead. You need to raise more.

Flop seems OK but is easier to play if you raise more preflop. If you make it $0.25 before the Flop then when the Flop comes down you can bet or bet call, and then you're getting in stacks on the turn.

Do we want hero to bet bigger because he is in the small blind? When I look at this it seems like if hero was on the button and the raise was from middle position his 3 bet size looks about right to me. I guess he should go bigger if he's in the small blind and out of position. How big do you think? 2.50?

    Hi everyone

Is this a good spot for a light 4 bet? Only had 24 hands on villain but he had 3b of 20%. I thought about calling but thought with being out of position and given v's stats that a 4b might be best to take it down right there. Also any thoughts on the sizing?

    Thanks

Felt a bit lost on what to do in this hand in all spots, feel like I played this wrong. Any thoughts appreciated.
I thought about calling the AKo but being out of position in a multiway pot I thought best to raise.
On the flop I thought a bet would be best given the money in the pot.

This board favors his range quite heavily so we have to check fold here ott. It helps if we have some extra draws as well. Say hypothetically at least a gssd, but even still it gets expensive and will we really get paid when fish always put you on AK. speaking of which this isn't exploitive because you're oop and as Phil Ivey put it "even my grandma can out play me oop!"

Sorry for all the questions - i'm playing Zoom 2nl at the moment and only played about 3000 hands there so far.

I have two hands here and I'm not sure if I should have got away from these. I'd appreciate any thoughts.

The first hand I thought he could be playing straights like this and so called which might have been a bad call. It's probably a bit too light an open from the HJ as well.

With the flush hand, this is a situation where the villain is probably not going to be raising the river with worse. The micros are certainly notorious for villains overvaluing their hands, so it's definitely possible he has a worse flush or a straight, but not sure how often. If you had the nut flush, I'd feel much better about the call.

Hand two - even though Aces are a strong hand, they are only one pair. There are some (bad) players that like to shove with top pair, so you're ahead of them, but most of the time I'd say that you'd probably have a better hand than one pair before stacking off.

That board is the ultimate reversed implied odds board for 78s I laughed. If a T drops and you see action you're liklye beat. It takes a ninja to fold this and aces on that ragged board.

Hand 1- bet flop a lot smaller or bigger. Turn I’d size down a bit. River is a bit dicey but is probably a bet fold at 2NL.

Hand 2- you should be betting small not big on this flop. I’m not surprised he ends up showing something like 99 because of your sizings on two streets, it’s obvious to the other player that you have KK+.

Bet a normal sizing with your whole range, probably about or just under half pot on the flop and about 60% on the turn. This allows him to call his bluffcatchers and it’ll stop him being able to fold a worse hand without any real concern.

Imagine you were the other player and your facing bets this big- you’re probably not calling the turn with even AQs are you?

because we're 185 blinds effective i hate my 3bet on the flop. i was kind of just on autopilot. villain was splashing around a little bit and i was just thinking to try and GII against his flush draws, queens, and sets and win most of the time. wasn't really thinking about how many more bets could go until we get stacks in.

    AP fold turn??

fold turn? the donk bet threw me off on this board texture. this hand is from 200nl and ironically, the recs at this stake in particular are probably the worst that you will see on this site. i'm guessing that they're live players that figure since they play 1/2 at the casino they might as well do the same thing on the interwebs. so since i've never seen this guy before and he starts the hand with less than 50bb i'm assuming he's one of those guys. so when we see a 1/2 rec at the casino take this line - limp call donk flop means we should just give him credit for TPWK?

i block flush draws and straights with the T but we're multiway and i'm expecting to usually have the best hand and to usually get called at least once. so i pot the flop for value and to set up a turn shove if the board bricks or i make my straight. look ok?
